Frida Escobedo, Fletcher Studio and Gould Evans: CommUNITY in the Hub

Join us for a conversation with the design team for the 30 Otis Street Mixed-Use Residential Project and the 12th Street Plaza Design, two closely interlinked projects that will help redefine the Market Street Hub community. Mexican Artist and Architect Frida Escobedo—together with Landscape Architect David Fletcher of Fletcher Studio—will discuss the 12th Street Plaza Design. Escobedo will present her concept, “No man is an island,” which envisions a new public plaza situated at one of the city’s largest and busiest intersections as an opportunity to bring people together, with a design that integrates public art to encourage both movement and informal gathering while offering elements of surprise and delight.
