Fletcher Studio is an award-winning landscape architecture and urban design collaborative, based in San Francisco’s Dogpatch neighborhood. We create sustainable open spaces and public places and bring meaning and delight into day-to-day life through the design process. We engage the imagination and creativity of clients, neighbors, and specialists, while simultaneously integrating this knowledge into rigorous and responsible solutions. Our parks, streetscapes and habitats are enduring places that are strengthened by the collective investment of everyone involved.
We’re an agile, close-knit team working to create satisfying and sustainable landscapes, urban spaces, and living infrastructures. We believe design matters, and that people deserve to find value, meaning, and possibility in the places they encounter and occupy. We work with city makers, communities, and other visionaries to realize evocative and appropriate concepts, designed and constructed to ensure social vitality and integrity. We leverage technology to work faster and smarter—people, ideas, and culture drive our process.
From biologists and foresters to musicians and neighbors, we collaborate with a host of innovative partners to skillfully integrate sustainable infrastructure and meaningful experiences into enduring, evolving spaces. Along with these partners, our studio brings a wide array of experience ranging across science, design, art, horticulture, construction, and politics. Collectively, we’re able to distill complex spatial analysis into high-functioning built environments that connect communities to places through inclusion, delight, and recognition of their capacity to best steward the places and objects we design.
We offer comprehensive professional services in landscape architecture, urban design and environmental planning, our current projects include public open space, urban masterplanning and streetscapes, civic plazas, and landscapes for multi-family housing projects. Our studio is inclusive and supportive. We strive to maintain a spirit of collaboration amongst ourselves, our consultants, and our clients, where everyone is inspired to solve complex design problems while having fun. Our office culture is lively, and a sense of humor is built into our work.
